Acting Younger Than One’s Age

Our 3 year old will often turn off his very advanced vocabulary, look at me and say, “baba, booboo.” This is his signal that he wants to be a baby. Since regression is helpful to attachment, I try to meet this need by holding him, rocking him, giving him a bottle, and allowing him to be a baby. Since he is so young, it's difficult to tell if this is a symptom of his trauma, but it is more purposeful behavior than I've seen in my other children. (a. 5.5mo, FC)
