Recurring Play Themes

Since trauma often shows up time and again in play, it's been interesting to note what our son wanted to play over and over: BEING BORN!!!!! He often asked once a day or more to play “being born.” This started at around age 2.5 and lasted for several months. It's hard to tell whether he did this out of a need to play out a trauma or because he felt the need to regress. Either way, the interest was high. (a. 5.5mo, FC)
